Why You Should Buy Your Moto Guzzi Used Motorcycle Parts from MrCycleParts

Moto Guzzi was formed by Carlo Guzzi, Giovanni Ravelli and Giorgio Parodi, two Italian pilots and a mechanic, after WWI. They made bikes with the traditional four-stroke single-cylinder 500cc engine. After WWII, they struggled and started producing inexpensive lighter motorcycles like the 65cc Motoleggera and the 175cc Galletto. In the 1950s, they introduced 250cc and 350cc bikes and eventually dominated the racing world. By the mid-60s, Moto Guzzi was struggling financially and were taken over by SEIMM, a state controlled receiver. During this time they focused on producing mopeds like the Dingo and the Trotter, and they developed a 90-degree V-twin engine that would become a Moto Guzzi icon. De Tomaso Industries Inc. (or DTi) purchased SEIMM in 1973, also taking over Benelli, Maserati and Moto Guzzi. In 1988, Benelli and SEIMM merged into the Guzzi Benelli Moto, making Moto Guzzi and entity within that company. In 1996, Moto Guzzi celebrated its 75th birthday by returning to the name of Moto Guzzi S.p.A. In 2000, Aprilia acquired Moto Guzzi and then Piaggio acquired Aprilia in 2004, making Moto Guzzi a current subsidiary of Piaggio & C. S.p.A.
